VPANC Accomplishments

During his tenure, VPANC accomplished the following:
  • Achieved unprecedented growth in association membership, with more than 70 young physicians joining.
  • Maintained robust financial health with a strong positive balance despite the national economic crisis; VPANC’s assets quadrupled.
  • Developed two association websites (www.vpanc.com and www.vpanc.net) and launched monthly e‑newsletters under the leadership of Dr. Thinh Nguyen.
  • Organized the association’s first annual picnics.
  • Hosted large-scale, highly successful community health fairs that attracted record numbers of attendees and volunteers.
  • Produced both the weekly Ask the Doctor TV series and the weekly Hỏi Bác Sĩ radio talk show, running in parallel.
  • Celebrated two major historical milestones: the association’s 20th anniversary and the 15th anniversary of the scholarship award program.
  • Delivered many well-attended and well-received professional and community events.
  • Published a special edition of the Áo Trắng (White Coat) magazine.
  • Significantly increased VPANC’s visibility in the community through extensive outreach programs and press releases, helping meet the health information needs of the Vietnamese American community.

Hobbies

  • Dr. Thinh Nguyen’s interests extend well beyond medicine, reflecting a deep appreciation for culture, creativity, and lifelong learning.
  • His hobbies include music, calligraphy, travel, and photography—each offering a different avenue for artistic expression and personal enrichment, serving as a source of inspiration and relaxation, and nurturing a sense of rhythm and harmony that carries into his professional and creative life.
  • Photography is his foremost passion, through which his artistic vision has earned international recognition.
  • Dr. Nguyen has received more than 500 international awards in art photography, including numerous PSA (Photographic Society of America) and FIAP (Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique) Gold Medals. His work is celebrated for its technical excellence, emotional depth, and ability to capture the extraordinary within everyday moments.
