2010 Scholarship Award Ceremony 
VPANC 15th Anniversary of Scholarship Award Program

 

VPANC held the scholarship award ceremony on Friday June 4, 2010 at Thanh Duoc restaurant in Milpitas, California.

In this event, the association celebrated the 15th anniversary of its scholarship award program.
 
The program was started with an educational presentation on Hepatitis B by Dr. Huy Trinh.
 
Dr. Thinh Nguyen reviewed the history of the scholarship program and recognized the hard work of all members of this committee over the past 15 years. He also introduced all past and present chairs and co-chairs; and thanked all who have generously contributed to the scholarship fund. 
 
Dr. Anh The Nguyen reviewed the selection process and introduced all members of current scholarship committee.
 
The backgrounds of 10 winning students were highlighted by Drs. Thao Duong, Quang Dao, Viet Ho, and Anh Nguyen.  Every one enjoyed the students' sharing of their feelings and dreams.
 
Two special guests, former scholarship award recipients, Tien Hoang and Quynh Anh Nguyen shared their thoughts and success stories. 
 
It was quite a rewarding experience to listen to all the students. 
 
The program was continued with music entertainment.
